Description
The ZS09R detects magnets as a series of pulses to determine the presence of motion. When speed reaches setpoint, the relay energizes and remains energized as long as speed remains above setpoint. Use the ZS09R to power a logic input (PLC, DCS, Etc.) or a single "Ice Cube" relay, such as Allen-Bradley® 700-HA32A1 or equivalent.

Details
*Relay Life
The ZS09R Zero Speed Switch Relay can operate for billions of operations on low voltage logic loads, i.e. PLC, DCS, etc. Life is typically in the millions of operations at higher loads such as 10 to 120 VAC/DC and 10 to 250 mA, i.e. operating an "Ice Cube" relay. For extreme loads, i.e. 10 to 120 VAC/DC and in excess of 250 mA, end of life may be reached in less than a million operations. When using the ZS09R to operate an "Ice Cube" relay, such as Allen-Bradley® 700-HA32A1 or equivalent, install a surge suppressor across the "Ice Cube" relay coil to prevent the Zero Speed Switch relay contacts from arcing. This will help prolong the life of the relay contacts.

Relay Setpoint - Adjustable
Relay Setpoint is adjustable via 12 turn precision trim pot.
Relay Setpoint - Fixed
The Relay Setpoint Adjustment can be disabled at the factory prior to assembly for applications requiring a fixed relay setpoint.
Relay Latch Option
The Relay Latch is a factory preset time delay allowing speed at the point of measure time to ramp up to Relay Setpoint.
Cable
Standard cable length is 4 feet. Custom cable lengths are available.
