| Technical Application Notes: Exhaust Fan in Industrial Plant Situation: Technicians in an industrial plant need to know when a belt has broken on any of the exhaust fans in their building. Sometimes the exhaust fan stops completely after belt breakage, but usually it continues to rotate because of a backdraft. The motor runs and the exhaust fan rotates, but independent of each other. Solution: Mount a Magnetic Disk to the shaft on the exhaust fan and align a ZS09R Zero Speed Switch to the Magnetic Disk. Set the ZS09R trip point for 100 RPM.
